Hi all fans of African Cup of Nations!

It is really nice to see the growing interest for African football and with all matches in Angola being televised live on Eurosport I hope you will enjoy the show.

I have high hopes that it will be a great show since it is a World Cup year and the tournament offers a great chance to prepare for teams like Ivory Coast, Ghana and Cameroon. It is only five months until the World Cup starts and the top sides will see the tournament in Angola as a great challenge.

I see especially four sides as favorites to lift the trophy at the end of January.

Ivory Coast and my own Cameroon have both huge stars in the best clubs in Europe, like Drogba, Yaya Toure and Eto'o. Ghana and Nigeria are also strong and will be up there.

But at the end I think that Ivory Coast, lead by Drogba, will win this.

There are some outsiders to look out for, especially Egypt. They have won the last two competitions and since they missed out on the World Cup narrowly to Algeria they will not give up easy.

Algeria and Tunisia can also surprise and advance longer than expected.

This is how I think the groups will end in Angola:

Group A:
1 Angola
2 Mali
3 Algeria
4 Malawi

Group B:
1 Ivory Coast
2 Ghana
3 Burkina Faso
4 Togo

Group C:
1 Nigeria
2 Egypt
3 Benin
4 Mozambique

Group D:
1 Cameroon
2 Tunisia
3 Gabon
4 Zambia

I have just arrived in South Africa and will watch Uruguay versus France on Friday evening. It is a great football atmosphere here and I hear songs for "Bafana-Bafana" everywhere.

My first match bet in the World Cup will be a draw between South Africa and Mexico, where I stake €10. I have €200 in my pocket for the tournament.
